Hey Friend,

Welcome! I am grateful you are here!

Birth Doula Serving the Greater Seattle Area

A Little Bit About Doula Autumn

Hey Friend!

I’m so happy you’re here and truly honored that you’re considering me as your doula. I live in North Bend with my husband, our two kids, and our dog and cat. I’m an empathetic and nurturing person, and I’ve always had a heart for helping others. I’m totally obsessed with the perinatal space and literally cannot stop talking about birth (ask my husband, he’ll tell you)!

After the birth of my second child, which was supported by a doula, I really began to understand the profound impact a doula can have. Having that kind of support during labor and delivery is a total game changer. Doulas empower and amplify your voice, helping you to feel confident and supported so that when you look back on your birth, you’re met with positive experiences and joyful memories.

I became a doula because I believe every family deserves that kind of care and support—and I want to be that support for you and your family.

My mission

as your doula is to support and empower you and your family emotionally, physically, and spiritually during one of the most profound experiences of your life. This journey requires your mind, body, and soul, and I am here to walk with you every step of the way. I will help guide you, fostering confidence and peace, while ensuring you are respected, fulfilled, and cared for during your labor and delivery

My life verse

Jesus Calms the Storm — The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey Him!” — Matthew 8:27

I lean on this verse when I fear what the future holds. It reminds me that the waves and wind still know His name, and that He is all-powerful. In those moments, I can rest knowing that all is well with my soul.

What Makes Me A Unique Doula?

I am a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse!

In a world full of competent and extraordinary doulas, being a labor and delivery nurse sets me apart. There are many benefits to having a doula who is also a nurse. Even though I am not in the delivery room in a clinical role, my nurse brain doesn’t entirely shut off. I bring a strong skill set developed throughout my career in obstetric nursing, including sharp assessment and critical thinking, in-depth knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the birthing body, clinical competence, and an understanding of high-level medical jargon, to name a few.

I will provide you with evidence-based resources and education throughout your birthing process. I understand the role of the pelvis in relation to the positioning of your baby, which will help me assist with repositioning during labor. I also have extensive knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and can break them down for you into digestible pieces. I’m here to translate medical jargon, ensuring you are fully informed and have a complete understanding of your plan of care.

The beauty of being both a doula and a nurse is that I offer the mindset of a healthcare professional combined with that of a non-clinical support person—the best of both worlds! I am a true advocate for you, with your well-being and best interests at heart, not those of the institution in which you are delivering.

Give yourself peace of mind when you choose me as your doula, knowing that I am highly skilled in the perinatal space.

What is a doula?

A trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to their client before, during, and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

In my own words, a doula is the ultimate cheerleader and confidant for you and your family. I am here to help you have the most fulfilling and empowering experience as you bring new life into the world. Whatever you want to do, just say the word, and I’m on board! You birth your way—I'm here to walk with you through it all!
